RTaW R&D
Most people at RTaW have a background as researcher or research engineer in the field of real-time and embedded systems, risk assessment, performance evaluation – be it in public institutes (INRIA, INPL) or in private companies (General Motors, PSA Peugeot-Citroën, Philips, Gemplus, Giat Industries) with an average of 15 years of R&D experience. They hold several patents and have authored more than 200 refereed publications. Selected publications over the last few years can be downloaded here. Here are some examples of what we can do:
- Dependability and real-time constraints
-
System level safety assessment (SIL and ASIL), software fault-tolerance, end-to-end timing analysis, worst-case and probabilistic analysis, deriving models from data, formal methods for functional and non-functional properties, fault-injection and tests, etc
- UML and SysML modeling / model-based design
-
Functional specification, model formal validation, customized code and model generators, Eclipse/Acceleo/ATL technologies, etc
- Technical computing with Scilab/Xcos
-
Domain specific toolboxes, high-level modeling environment (e.g. based on SysML), customized Xcos code generators (e.g., Misra C compliant), training and support for Scilab/Xcos.
- Engineering of communication networks
-
Architecture and parameters optimization. Expertise in Controller Area Network, FlexRay, LIN, TTP/C, AFDX, industrial Ethernet and gateways. Design, validation and implementation of custom protocol layers.
- Embedded systems
-
High-integrity software development and test. Expertise in real-time operating systems, virtualization, Electronic Control Unit configuration (e.g., Posix, AUTOSAR platforms): task grouping, static cyclic and priority scheduling. Low power design.
- Industrial mathematics
-
Optimization, control systems, data mining, statistics, artificial intelligence, etc
